Creative Art Director
We are seeking an inspiring Creative Director to help define, build and create inspiring food and lifestyle branded content. The right candidate will live and breathe design and aspire to create a brand that consumers love. He/she will be masterful in translating consumer insights and objectives into breakthrough creative proposals for social, digital, email and print platforms. This creative leader needs to possess deep knowledge in graphic design, experience in food and lifestyle industry and have passion in photography. The right candidate loves working in a fast-paced environment, surrounded by positivity and a team-first attitude. The ideal candidate will be excited about jumping in with a great team and bringing Blix to life.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Blix executives to build a brand identity that will serve us for years to come as we continue to deliver on our mission of helping people live and eat healthy.
  • Direct photo shoots for our products.
  • Create memorable designs that meet business, brand, market and user requirements, including the design and production of site layouts, marketing collateral, print materials, content treatment and user interface elements.
  • Work closely with the product design team to ensure a cohesive experience throughout the customer journey.
  • Support our marketing and product designers as a resource in ideation, efficient workflows, iterative processes, design reviews, and launches.
  • Continually provide insight into industry best practices, design trends, and content generation ideas.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of digital design experience – print design, photography, and videography experience preferred but not required
  • Education in fine arts, graphic design, interactive design, or other design-related program
  • Significant experience in Food & lifestyle industry and direction
  • Strong understanding of best practices related to email designs, responsive UX, key social platforms and storytelling and narrative
  • Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Sophisticated sense of design with an especially strong eye for layout design and typography
  • Portfolio that demonstrates previous visual and interaction design work
  • Background in branding and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML and web typography (Typekit etc.) and experience designing for mobile, tablet, and desktop
Operations Director
We are looking for Director of Operations who will be monitoring high-volume operations that include supply planning, sourcing, filling, pick & pack, logistics and delivery of perishable products seamlessly to the customer. The right candidate will work with multiple parties across the organization to initiate, organize, and participate in continuous supply chain improvement activities, including managing and helping to build out our operational infrastructure. This position requires a high level of leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day operations at our distribution centers to ensure cost and time efficient distribution
  • Manage demand planning and develop detailed facility operations plans and schedules based on customer orders
  • Manage the supply of ingredients, ensuring specifications and quality standards are met by suppliers, forecasting and managing inventory
  • Assist with contract negotiations
  • Ensure adequate staffing, equipment and space utilization to fulfill production goals
  • Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment of all customer orders
  • Work closely with Quality Control to ensure that all protocols are followed to ensure the highest possible quality for our customers
  • Work closely with Warehouse Management System to understand, maintain knowledge of and manage the operation.
  • Develop, implement and facilitate processes that focus on achieving measurable improvements to production efficiency, inventory management, quality, fulfillment accuracy and on-time delivery. Gather and report on key operational metrics
  • Establish annual departmental operating budgets and track/control spending within budget.
  • Maintain environmental, safety and other regulatory compliance
  • Work with personnel to continuously improve policy, procedures, practices and training
  • Ensure we have the best logistical partner for all parts of our logistics operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience
  • Proficient understanding of various business software suites in addition to background utilizing various warehouse management systems
  • Must be willing to take on a variety of roles within the production facility including hands on work when needed
  • Dedicated commitment to customer service and fostering a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work against tight timelines, operate with a sense of urgency and perform under pressure
  • Must be a team player, good motivator and must be able to provide coaching and training in a positive and effective manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience working within perishables industry in high-volume fulfilment environment preferred.

Product Manager
We are looking for a Product Manager with UX design experience who will manage every aspect of Blix’s e-commerce website built on Woocommerce. This person will help us manage and improve our website on a daily basis. He/she will take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs, create new wireframes, process flows or modify the old ones.  This person should recommend and develop Blix’s short and long term strategic website initiatives, manage e-commerce platform to purchase our products. The right candidate will have experience in working with direct to consumer subscription model start-ups. He/she needs to have the very strong technical understanding as well as the right business mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs on Woocommerce
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to launch
  • Create new and modify existing wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and ideas
  • Collaborate with our business and marketing team to define and implement innovative solutions for translating business requirements into innovative solutions
  • Create design guidelines for the design architecture and ensure interface consistency across the platform
  • Manage daily needs of the website by new uploads and changes
  • Maintain living product backlog, with robust set of details (e.g., position on roadmap, global & client-specific needs, functional requirements, key dependencies, development progress).
  • Analyze product evolution needs in terms of revenue generating capability, in collaboration with internal team.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external customers and compile requirements consisting of use cases, process flows and data flows.
  • Serve as an in-house expert for our e-commerce website and become the go-to person for all functional issues

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working with or on e-commerce websites
  • Experience working with B2C food or lifestyle brands
  • 2+ years experience working in Wordpress/Woocommerce with basic coding knowledge
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related equivalent experience
  • Able to provide tactical and constructive feedback
  • Have a functional understanding of software development and APIs
  • Highly analytical with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
